My mother is from Calcutta India and this is our family recipe. Organic black tea from the Assam Valley was blended with fire roasted ginger, green cardamom, black pepper and clove. The spices are intentionally blended in small batches to offer a homestyle like brew of chai that is both soothing and spicy.
For an extra strong brew try boiling the tea and finishing with milk and sugar.

1. Mix 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 cup of milk and 4
teaspoons of chai. (more tea is required because of the milk)
2. Bring to a gentle boil at 212° F and stir slowly for 8-10 min.
3. Remove from heat and strain tea into a cup or mug.
4. Sweeten and enjoy
